Here are 5 Handsome LWY members sporting the new Missions sweat-shirts!!!

The three pictures located to the left are the shirt designs for LWY Mission Trips for the year 2001.  The first picture on the left, is the design for the front of the shirt, the middle picture is the design for the back of the shirt, and the last picture on the on the left is the design for the sleeve of the shirt.  The shirt colors are still in the works, but LWY is thinking of having a variety of colors for their shirts ranging from:  Navy Blue, Olive, Tan, and White.  If you have any suggestions or comments please contact us!!!

The shirts where designed after the skating culture, along with a little hip-hop flavor.  Unlike last years designs, which were strictly hip-hop, LWY decided to add a little twist to it, by putting some skating flavor to it:

"We wanted the shirts to be a sort of witnessing tool that would go along with our ministry... so since our youth is not only strictly into hip-hop anymore, but a lot of our youth (and many youth everywhere have gotten into skating)... we have decided to go along with the times, and that is shown in our shirt design" -Lester

"We want to reach everybody, and not exclude anybody... so we tried to design the shirt with that idea in mind.  We tried to put a skating/hip-hop flavor to this design... and I think we were able to do just that, with God's guidance"  -Jon

"I'm bored right now... so I'm just here to say, it looks good?!?!?!"  -Sarah

"Yup"  -Mario

"Uunst... I think it will reach a lot of youth"  -Krystal

This up and coming year, the theme for LWY will be "ENDURANCE!  IS IT IN YOU?".  This was taken from Hebrews 12, where it tells us to, run the race set before us.  And since many of the mission trips taken by LWY this year, will be focusing on encouraging the body around the world, we thought "ENDURANCE" would be the perfect theme!!!  It was chosen to remind those who we are encouraging and ourselves, to keep: Following, obeying, listening, and doing GOD's WILL.  And that we have to keep on: Preaching, teaching, and spreading the GOSPEL message throughout the world, even though sometimes...well a lot of times... it gets rough, and there are many trials and temptations to face.  Whatever we do we must remember to run this race!!!

So please pray for all the up and coming Mission trips and Missionary's, Living Water Fellowship and it's youth will be supporting!!!  And we will be keeping you guys informed on the Missions for 2K!

On the 7th of November Pastor Tom and Pastor Pule, along with 2 youth overseers, Mario & Jon, Made a 2 hour journey from Corona California, to Bakersfield California.  They made this long drive because they where invited by Valley High School to lead in their Chapel on Wednesday.

They arrived in Bakersfield, around 9 p.m., Tuesday night.  Here they ate some great food at the house which they where staying in,  Gill Garcia ( former assistant Pastor at Living Water Fellowship).  They watched the election results... got ready for the next day.... and went to sleep.

The next morning they woke up bright and early, and put on their EA Lava Lava's (traditional Samoan clothing).  Then they went to Valley High where they took over 2 classes in which Gill Garcia, better known in Bakersfield as Mr. G.  Here they shared with the classes what it is like to be a "Short Term Missionary".  While doing this they shared mainly on the Samoan Trip (that's why they wore their EA's) recently taken by Living Water last July.

After sharing with the classes what it is like to be a missionary, and encouraging them to get involved in missions, they led Valley High's weekly Chapel.  Here, Pastor Tom led the students in a few worship songs.  Pastor Pule, then led them in a few rap songs...with the help of Jon.  Then Pastor Tom shared some scripture with the students.

After chapel, the Team took over 2 more classes, sharing basically the same thing as they did with the  previous 2 classes.  Then during the schools lunch time, the Team went and got school'd in the science of Basketball by some of Valley High's basketball players.

All in all, the outreach went fairly well...with new found friends in Bakersfield.  Also word is that Gill Garcia, will be trying to start a Missions Club at the school.  This means that  more than likely, when LWY takes their missions & outreach trips... there might just be a few Valley High students along side of them.  The Lord is truly awesome and great.

Okinawa is a small island in the South Pacific, which is part of Japan.  This year Living Water Fellowship led a missionary Team, consisting of men and women from 3 different Calvary Chapel's to spread the word and love of God throughout the island.

Their theme for this trip was "Noah's Ark...Get on Board", and their main goal was to minister to OCS(Okinawa Christian Schools).

While in Okinawa, the Team was able to minister through: Leading worship, rapping, counseling, teaching classes, sports and recreational activities, and through the love of Jesus Christ.

The reports brought back from this Team have been amazing; to say the least.  Some of the reports such as: People coming to know Christ,  students in OCS letting their pride fall down, and hearing people rededicate their lives back to Christ; have truly encouraged the body in Southern California and other parts of the world!!!

Here is a small portion dedicated to this missionary trip.  Below are some pictures taken on this journey... Be looking out for a possible Web Site dedicated to this Missionary Trip.  Hopefully you will enjoy these few pictures, and more, will more than likely be on the way shortly!!!

The two pictures located to the left, are the two different shirt designs made for the LWY Mission Trip to Samoa.  The characters  shown , show the 3 main things which LWY does to spread the gospel to the generation of today (singing, dancing, and of course teaching the word of God)

GODS PROMISE'S was the theme for this mission trip.  IT was an eleven day trip (JULY 7-18) to American Samoa (located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean).  Here LWY's main goal was to "SERVE" in anyway possible, and through God's help and strength, they where able to do just that.

This coming January and Summer,  Living Water Fellowship is planning to send another TEAM back to American Samoa.  And LWY is truly looking forward to meeting old friends, and making new one's, and also they are looking forward to having another opportunity of spreading the gospel message.
