it can never fly from you.
What are we?

***Below are articles in which youth members from around the world have written in order to share and encourage their brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the world. And we ask that you might take the time to just read a few of them, because who knows, one of the articles might just speak to your heart. Enjoy!!!***
I look back, and most of my life was
Consumed in crying out to anyone, in despair
Crying for comfort, crying for understanding,
And crying mostly for love in the darkness
Of my hard, cold bed.
My face buried in the pillow
Never making a sound, not a hiccup or
Sob escaping from the room
I look back, and all I see is a lonely
Girl standing by herself.
Not a soul comes near to be friendly
Nobody knows, nobody cares
And nobody mostly realizes her
Her face is downcast, like a candle
That sooner or later will cease its
Eternal flame of light
Now, I don’t look back, I go forward
Each step I grow more confident
In myself, my heart, and my soul
Because I know the truth that set me
Free from my bond, my captivity
Nobody can take it away from me
My face is now radiated with life..because
I know- that I’m not alone, He is there.

The Argument
Jesus and Satan have an argument as to who is the better programmer. This goes on for a few hours until they come to an agreement to hold a contest, with God the Father as the judge.
They set themselves before their computers and begin. They are given the task, and began to type furiously, lines of code streaming up the screen for several hours straight. Seconds before the end of the competition, a bolt of lightning strikes, taking out the electricity. Moments later, the power is restored, and God announces that the contest is over.
He asks Satan to show what he has come up with. Satan indignantly protests, "I have nothing! I lost it all when the power went out." "Very well, then," says God, "let us see if Jesus fared any better."Jesus enters a command and the screen comes to life with a vivid display, the voices of an angelic choir pour forth from the speakers. Satan is astonished.
He stutters, "B-b-but how? I lost everything, yet Jesus' program is intact! How did he do it?"
God chuckles, "Satan, when are you going to learn ...Jesus saves!"

These are past articles previously found on the FY-BY page. We have put these articles hers just in case you missed reading one of them, or in case one of them really spoke to your heart. So enjoy them while they are here, because some of the older ones will not be around much longer due to memory space!!!!
There was a time in my life when I felt that the Lord didn't exist. After all, what kind of God would take away a six year old's parents and then her uncle, whom she saw as her mentor? My grandparents died when I was very young, and when my dad died and then my mom a few months later, I felt as if I was gonna die, and I have to admit..I was MAD at the Lord. But then I moved to Cali. to live with my aunt and uncle. I loved it and eventually came to call them Mom and Dad (not your conventional family huh?). It then came time for us to move back to American Samoa... my "dad" later died the day after christmas. I just sat in the hospital thinking "why me? Why not someone else?"
Now, five years later, as I was sitting on my mom's grave, all the memories flashed back, and i just have to thank God for the love and support he has given me. People have always told me that the Lord works in mysterious ways. I never quite grasped that idea until that moment, and I am thankful, and sorry for being mad. The Lord has truly answered my prayers, for he has given me the greatest gift-a family that has never given up on me! -JM
Last summer Living Water Fellowship took a team to American Samoa. Before they went to Samoa, the youth leadership came up with a theme for the trip which was "Promises of God". And this theme, not only became a theme for Samoa, but it became a theme for LWY in getting to Samoa. Because many of them did not have the financial needs at the time to go, others didn't have the availabilty from their jobs to go. However all of them told themeselves that they have to rely on God, and rely on His promise to get them their. So the Lord inspired the song below to be written... and it was the theme song and now a youth worship song for the Somoa Trip 2000. And we just wanted to share it with you.
